The Dragon Fruit is actually a species of cactus. Its shape is round and it is 2-3 inches in diameter and hot pink to red in color. Its interior is white with tiny black edible seeds. Dragon Fruit is also known as Pitaya in North America. The dragon fruit has a mild fragrance and has a taste with a kiwi-like flare. Dragon Fruit is somewhat like the kiwi fruit in texture, but hard to imagine from how it looks. It contains plenty of vitamin-C and water-soluble fiber that has a great effect on a healthy diet.
